Finger Lakes 30K (w/Relay Options & 10K)

INDIVIDUAL & RELAY TEAM OPTIONS!

Please join us on Saturday April 13, 2024 for the Finger Lakes 30K around Honeoye Lake (formerly the Rally Round The Valley 18 Miler). Runners can choose to run the entire 30k, create a team of two and share the distance, or create a team of three and share the distance. There will also be a 10K Run/Walk option available. Beautiful and scenic views of Honeoye Lake and a great start/finish line location at Sandy Bottom Park at the north end of the lake. This race is a fundraiser for the Honeoye Track and Cross Country programs and your support is appreciated!

30K START/FINISH
The 30K race (VIEW PRINTABLE MAP) will start and finish at Sandy Bottom Park along the northern shore of Honeoye Lake. 30K runners will travel counterclockwise on the inside shoulder of the roadway as shown on the map below. Individual participants will complete the entire loop around the lake. Relay participants (2-person & 3-person teams) have the option to choose their own transfer points and provide their own transportation to and from those points. Relay teams get to choose how far each team member runs and thus will determine their own transfer points.

There will be two shuttle buses on hand that will circle the lake throughout the race once they have transported all of the 10K runners to their start location. They will be at the 30K start line by 9:10 if you would like a ride to your transfer point. Feel free to flag them down for a ride if needed at any time. TRANSFER POINT SUGGESTIONS:
2-Person Relay: The first team member will run from the start line to the far end of the course where they will turn left off of County Road 36 onto East Lake Road. This is the farthest point on the course at the south end of the lake and is approximately 8 1/2 miles from the start. There will be a water station and portable toilet located there as well. The second team member will run the remaining distance to the finish traveling north on the opposite side of the lake. CLICK HERE to view water station & portable toilet locations on the course.

3-Person Relay: The first team member will run from the start to the FLCC Boat Launch/Muller Field located at about mile 5 1/2. The second team member will round the far end of the lake and come back up the other side to the Honeoye Lake State Marine Park entrance at about mile 12 1/2. That means they will run about 7 miles total. This happens to be the 10K start line area so the third and final team member will run about 6 miles to the finish line. 10K START/FINISH
The 10K race (VIEW PRINTABLE MAP) is a one-way course from Honeoye Lake Boat Launch State Park located on the southeast shore of the lake to the finish line at Sandy Bottom Park. Free shuttle service to the start line will be offered on race morning beginning at 8am. There will be two shuttle buses on hand. If you miss the shuttle service due to late arrival on race morning you can drive to the start line and leave your vehicle there while you run. In this situation you will have to ride the shuttle back after the race or arrange for your own transportation back to your vehicle. REGISTRATION & PACKET PICKUP
Online registration will remain open right up until the start of the race. Packet pickup and race day registration will take place at Sandy Bottom Park beginning at 7:30am. All participants will receive a custom race bib along with a beautiful finisher medal. Those who register by April 5, 2024 at 9am will receive one of our dri-fit race shirts! Late registrants (Those who sign up after April 5th at 9am) will receive a short sleeve t-shirt while supplies last or an alternate gift item will be provided.

30K INDIVIDUAL
Individual Participant

$70 January 16th through March 1st then $80 until race day*

30K RELAY TEAMS
2-Person Relay Team
$100 ($50/person) through March 1st then $120 until race day*
Two person relay participants have the option to select their own transfer point prior to race day. You must provide your own transportation to and from the transfer point selected. The total distance of both runners will be 30K. We will also have two shuttle buses available to transport you to your relay spot if needed. Buses will depart from Sandy Bottom right after the start of the race at about 9:10am.

3-Person Relay Team
$120 ($40/person) through March 1st then $150 until race day*
Three person relay participants will select their own transfer points prior to race day. It does not matter the distance you contribute to the team however you must provide your own transportation to and from the transfer points selected. The total distance of all three runners will be 30K. We will also have two shuttle buses available to transport you to your relay spot if needed. Buses will depart from Sandy Bottom right after the start of the race at about 9:10am.

10K Run/Walk
$40 through March 1st then $50 until race day*
Remote Start Line at Honeoye Lake Marine Park/Boat Launch
Shuttle service to the 10K start line from Sandy Bottom Park will be provided. Shuttle departures to the 10K start line will begin at 8am from Sandy Bottom.

*All participants who register by 4/5/24 at 9am will be guaranteed to receive an official dri-fit race shirt in their requested size! An alternate gift item (TBD) will be presented to all late registrants after 4/5/23 at 9am.

POST RACE CELEBRATION
Race organizers will provide post race food (turkey wraps from Rickard's Catering) and snacks along with bottled water at Sandy Bottom Park. All participants are invited to the Birdhouse Brewing Company after the race to celebrate with family and friends. The owners have informed me that they are planning for live entertainment, outdoor fire pits/seating, and the Birdhouse will also be offering beer, food and drink specials throughout the day for all race participants!

There will be plenty of free parking at Sandy Bottom Park and the surrounding area.

AGE GROUPS & AWARDS
Custom trophies will be presented to the top finishers (see below). All participants will receive one of our beautiful custom finisher medals. Age group award decals will be distributed throughout the day at our Results Kiosk located at the finish line at Sandy Bottom Park. Stop and check your results before you head over to the Bird House for some post race fun!

CANCELLATION POLICY
There will be no refunds. In the event of foul weather, public safety concerns, or for any other reason deemed necessary by race organizers, we reserve the right to postpone/reschedule the event at our discretion or offer a virtual alternative if necessary.

TIMING & FINISH LINE SERVICES
Professional timing and finish line services using industry leading Jaguar Electronic RFID timing will be provided by Race Management Solutions. Results are updated throughout the race in real time and can be accessed at any time after crossing the finish line using any one of the following options:
