2021 Jaguar Timer Conference

Welcome to the 2021 Jaguar Timer Conference
presented by the Jaguar Advisory Panel, in conjunction with Destin Beach Ultra Runs

The 2021 conference will be held in beautiful Destin, Florida at The Island Hotel and Conference Center by RL. This newly rennovated beachfront location will be your base for 3 days packed with learning, relationship building, and hands on practice.

Your entry fee covers the conference, including a buffet lunch on Thursday and Friday (breakfast is also included each day for those staying at The Island). All timing equipment for the events will be provided, but you are encouraged to bring your timing computer for the conference days. If you would like to bring more of your own equipment for the events, please use the 'contact' tab above to send a message. Depending on the number of attendees, other food/drink/swag perks may be added.

The Virtual Conference Option will broadcast the 'main stage' all day Thursday and Friday 8am-5pm (with the exception of lunch). In the week prior to the event, you will be provided with dial-in instructions and only those registered will be allowed into the video service. You will be able to ask questions of the presenters as well.

The full schedule will be built and taught by highly experienced timers, in conjuntion with the Innovative Timing Systems and Its Your Race staffs. The addition of being able to experience actual race enviroments, complete with packet pickup, multiple timing points, live results, and photos, is ideal for new timers to build skills and experienced timers to mentor and learn some new techniques from the Jaguar community. We are all working together to make an amazing event for you, at the lowest price possible.

Saturday, 24 April
7am-11am: Hands on timing practice with experts
Lunch on your own
1pm: Timing debrief

HOST PROPERTY/LODGING

We encourage you to stay at The Island Hotel and would welcome your familes as well! We have negotiated very competative lodging rates and a generous cancelation policy.

However, there are other nation chain hotels very close to the conference center. You are welcome to stay there, but there is no group lodging rates or perks pre-negotiated for our group at these hotels.

Please note: Guest’s need to contact the group housing coordinator directly, if they want to extend their stay or book different room types outside of the group block (which is subject to availability and rate).

Reservations needed after the cutoff date must be booked directly through group housing. The group rate after cutoff is not guaranteed, and is subject to current availability

TRAVEL

The nearest airport is VPS (Destin Ft Walton Beach) and you can Uber from there to the host property if you do not want to rent a car. However, a rental car may be handy for the Sat and Sun events, depending on your schedule. You can also fly into ECP (Panama City) or PNS (Pensacola) but both of those will be about a 1hr drive depending on traffic.
